It's been a long day. I meant to post this morning but it wasn't possible.
Greg had a tee time at 9:45am which got postponed to 10:30am. He played golf while I watched and followed him around taking pictures. The course was indeed beautiful, a place that hosts many famous people every year, however it was very very pricey. I'm still in a bit of mourning over it, so I won't say much about it. Yes the views were nice and the course was great, but it was just overpriced. Being rated one of the best and most beautiful golf courses in the world, Greg really wanted to do it. I guess I understand since I would pay that much to see Barcelona play in front seats at the Camp Nou.
After that, left for Blarney Castle at 3pm and drove for about 45 min. Rick Steve's doesn't mention much of Blarney, he actually mentioned it's Blarney... Which means lame in a way. We still went in because I wanted to kiss the Blarney Stone (an Ireland thing, or maybe a tourist thing). We went in and it was actually beautiful and really fun. Climbed up the caste, of course Greg struggled while climbing the stairs since it was supper narrow and small, castles are not for big and tall people.
Drove another 2 Hours to Dingle, amazing views. My heart has been stollen by the peninsula, the sheep, the narrow roads (this is everywhere though) and the mountains. The sun came out while we were driving yay! Finally! I think it's the first time I see the sun in a long time. This morning while playing golf it was cloudy, rainy and very cold!
We are now in Dingle and staying at Ballymore B&B! Oh we got yelled at, because we didn't call ahead to tell what time we were arriving, I really felt like I was at home, literally! Hahaha, the old Irish man was nice though (kind of) about it.
- Currently sitting at Marina's pub about to listen to live Irish music again.
Loving Dingle peninsula so so much already.
