El Salvador -- 1
Since I’m late in writing this, I will just have to do a
summary of our time in El Salvador. I’ve been too busy and also too lazy to
write anything. It takes time and
effort, sorry I’ve just been taking it easy these days.
Greg and I took a 12 day vacation in El Salvador over
Christmas and New Years. It was an awesome time that we got to spend with
family and friends. We flew out from
Dallas, because the tickets were a lot cheaper.
Surprised mom on the night of the 20th of Dec by sneaking
into the house and dressing up in my one piece suit, pretty sure all the neighbors
woke up to the screams.
We spent a lot of time at home, but we also did a bit of
traveling. A while back God had put in
my heart to give back to people. So
while in El Salvador we helped some people in need, Greg and I bought and
packed bags of rice, beans, sugar, salt. In addition we also bought, oil,
matches, detergent and soups. We delivered
it to people in need around Tacachico. I
believe in giving, without expecting anything in return, I believe in God
having greater plans for us, and I am forever thankful of what I have already
received in life.
My cousin Karen was in El Salvador as well, she lives in CA
but she was spending time with us for the holidays. So we all took a trip to Nahuizalco and
toured the city, we also went to the beach and lit up Chinese lanterns. We played monopoly, we told stories, we swam
at the beach, we had a great time. For
Christmas and New years we did a lot of fireworks, we ate a lot of food and we
celebrated being alive for another year.
That about sums up our vacation! I wish I was still in El
Salvador, I miss family already!
