We are on our way!

Well we have made it to La Guardia! And currently waiting for the bus to JFK! It's really cold here and raining, our bags got soaked! :(

Also don't tell Greg but I just found out that inside on of the backpacks I packed, there is a stun gun which is illegal in Ireland. I really didn't mean to pack it it was in the backpack! Oops.

Officially homeowners

We are ...

We have officially closed on our house!! We closed on Friday, April 25th! It still doesn't sink in. Feels strange to come back from work and  not drive through galleria! I now drive through a different and better route.

We love this house! We love everything about it. It's big, peaceful and charming. We fell in love with it even before Greg matched. In fact we made an offer on it before Greg matched to Houston.

This house was meant to be, it went on the market long ago and then it disappeared within a day or so! We didn't even have a chance to check it out. Then it came back a week before matching day and we jumped on it. We saw it for about 10 min, walked out and made an offer the same day.

We even wrote a cover letter for it, we found out they had picked us within 2 days, we did offer slightly more than the asking price, because it was worth it. The house is a hot house, there were more offers on the table then.

The neighborhood is amazing, there is a man made lake about a block or away and a trail that goes around it. I'm really excited to get back in shape and run/bike around the lake.

Yay, well we have now closed on the house which makes us officially:

Drums please....

Poor! - I mean home owners.

Good Friday

To look back and think, without today I would be nothing but a simple sinful person with no purpose in life.

Today I am sad; today I remember that the greatest crime was committed many years ago.

While today is a sad day in which I think all day about how unbearable it would have been to witness Jesus carrying the cross it is necessary, He paid it all. He gave his life for me, He loved me greater than anyone else ever will, He lives in me, He is why I live today and will always live my life grateful to be called his child.

HIS LOVE IS RELENTLESS.

There are really no words to express how I feel about Him. Why me? when I am a sinner and many times fail, yet He puts up with me and died for me. I close my eyes and try to go back in time and picture the night when he was captured by the soldiers. I can't even finish this mental image because it becomes agonizing, and brings tears to my eyes. I have lived 25 years of my life not realizing how much he has loved me, but now I understand. Now I sit here sad thinking that today commemorates the anniversary of when he died for me and for you, how great is his love for us.

Sunday is coming, and we wait to celebrate his glory.

Vikki's wedding

We went to FL for a wedding, vikki my roommate from college tied the knot with Josh!  It was a beautiful day!  Those two are so cute together, loved that they are married now.

We used to have so many conversations at night when in college and would often think: would we be married in 5 years? (that was 4 years ago)  At that time things were different, none of us were dating anyone BAH! and we were about to graduate.  I was about to move to TX, and she was about to move to MN.  Things have changed, we are both happily married now and have come a long way.  Love you Victoria!

Also, we got a chance to stay one night with Greg's grandmother and go to Disney's Hollywood Studios for one day.

Funny thing about the following picture: Greg didn't want to go drawing with me! guess who was the last one to get out of the class????

Clydesdales!

Guess what?  one less on the bucket list. To be able to see and touch the Budweiser Clydesdales! Best day everrrrrr, seriously I about cried!

We sort of trespassed. I knew they were in town and there was nothing getting on the way for me to see them.  I found out they were staying at the Houston Polo Club, so I made Greg go look for them with me. Found them!
